The following tips will prolong the life of your resole job and your shoes:

• Keep your shoes out of excessive heat. The glue is heat activated and will melt if the shoes get to hot. This includes a hot car seat! Keep your shoes in a gym bag or backpack.
  
• Don't wait to long for repairs. If you can feel the midsole through the rand or the leather starts to show, its time for a toe patch.
  
• Repair tears in the rand and cuts in the leather with Aquaseal, which can be bought in most dive shops. Aquaseal is softer and sticks better than Shoe Goo.
  
• Repair delaminations with contact cement.
  
  Take care of your shoes and they will return the favor!
